Traffic Will Shift For Bridge Repairs

Weather permitting, beginning tonight, March 24, lanes on Russell Road, Exit 148 of I-95, will be reduced and temporarily shifted to accommodate bridge repairs.

Cox Farms Fall Festival & Fields of Fear Starts This Month

Cox Farms eagerly awaits the start of its fall festival and “Fields of Fear” season later this month.
The D.C.-area’s most famous fall festival will open its gate on Sept. 21 for Preview Weekend, inviting kids to happily descend on a slew of exciting new features added to the 90-acre playground. The most popular slide, the 144-ft-long Dino Slide, had a top-to-bottom makeover, from completely refinishing all six slide lanes to renovating the entry path to the slide.

Police Look for More Victims in Robbery & Sexual Assault Case in Alexandria

On Thursday, June 20, a 25-year-old California woman was staying at a local hotel in the 5700 block of Van Dorn Street for the purposes of on-line solicitation of adult services. Around 4:30 a.m. three men forced their way into her hotel room and one brandished a handgun.
