About

Since 2009, NOVA Fortnightly has been covering Northern Virginia Community College like no one else.™

We’re here to cover anything that impacts the student body, whether it happens on campus or off, providing news and sharing opinions on world issues and local entertainment options. We are active all year but most active from September through April. Our staff represents a diverse selection of the student body as a whole, representing a variety of ages, origins, backgrounds, beliefs and aspirations. Some are new to journalism, others are seasoned veterans. But what we all have in common is a desire to inform and uncover.

From our Downtime section, which publishes entertainment and hobbies, to our Thoughts section, which serves as an open forum to present and discuss pressing issues, to comments on articles on the website, we’re here to invoke and facilitate discussion and debate.

We aim to provide coverage of issues and events from all six NOVA campuses and the communities they serve, to offer balanced commentary on politics that impact those communities and the student body, as well as news and reviews of the local entertainment scene.

If you’re aware of something that other students might be interested in, be it news, performing arts or an issue of concern, please let us know.

We hope you enjoy our publication, and thank you for reading.
