Toy Solders help save lives

The toy soldiers don’t actually do the saving, but the existence of these particular toy soldiers will certainly help lives across the world. Recently, a group of hobbyists got together to embark on a mission to give something back to the world through their favorite hobby: table top war games.

As I trudged my way down the alley, I could smell the fetid stench of decaying flesh. I knew my time had come. I rounded the corner, and there he was. My subject stood at 5 feet 4 inches but was currently crouched over his latest prey. In his life, his name was Jeremy Ficklestein. He was a father of three, happily married to a lovely wife, whose body was found without its organs and, inexplicably, its chest.

NOVA Holds Golf Tourney

NOVA’s intramural golf tournament, organized by Dr. Muhammed Basit, the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Students at the Annandale campus, took place on Oct. 7 at the Penderbrook Golf Course near Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, under the auspices of the NOVA Student Activities Office of Brian Anweiler.

Ways to scare the living hell out of your neighbors

Walk around the yard carrying an ax.
Put a severed head (preferably a fake one) in the front yard, hide in the bushes & call out, “Save me!” when people walk by.
Put mannequins in the front yard and blend in among them until the kiddies come around, then move in for the scare.

Reasons to stay inside on Halloween.

Volleyball Team Splits Two

The NOVA women’s volleyball team traveled to Frederick on Sept. 30 to again face the Frederick Community College team, which they had earlier beaten in the season-opening tournament by taking three of four sets. This time the team improved on that performance by winning the match in three straight sets, 25-19, 25-11 and 25-16.
