Portraits of prominent American women painted by Rosemary Gallick will be on display at Northern Virginia Community College’s Woodbridge campus from March 7 to April 5 to commemorate Women’s History Month.
The fourth-floor gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. Admission is free.

On Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m., nine of NOVA’s top singing sensations will battle for the title of this year’s NOVA Idol. The college finalists are Erika Anderson, John Ashburn, Martina Green, Lyndsi Hicks, Kelley Kime, Elaine Lopez, Laura Manzer, Lauren McLeod and Edwin Thorpe. And from various high schools in the region, CJ Marble, Devyn Metz, Padideh Guodarzi Nejad and Joao Versos will be competing for a prize of $1,000.

Paintings by Rosemary Gallick will be on display from Jan. 24 until Feb. 28 at Northern Virginia Community College’s Woodbridge campus. The exhibition in the fourth-floor gallery will feature African-American celebrities and political figures in honor of Black History Month. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. Admission is free.

Before they had even walked into the campus atrium, a long line had formed. Students, mostly men, waited patiently but excitedly to meet five of the beautiful and peppy Washington Redskins cheerleaders on Nov. 2. Their presence on the Woodbridge campus was thanks to Phi Theta Kappa’s Football Day event.
