A federal appeals court has ruled that student newspapers can publish advertisements for alcohol and that a ban on the ads is unconstitutional.

Virginia state Sen. Creigh Deeds, 55, is recovering from multiple stab wounds acquired during a tragic altercation Nov. 19 with his son, Austin “Gus” Deeds, 24. The younger Deeds died that day of what police say appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

During the investigation, NOVA Police “got a hit on two computers at a pawn shop.” The police found out who sold the computers to the shop and it led to a NOVA student.

Eight computers were stolen from multiple unattended classrooms at Annandale campus early in the fall semester. This prompted Northern Virginia Community College police to remind faculty not to leave classrooms unattended.
