The preshow begins at 5:45 p.m., with the NOVA Idol band, The Texas Chainsaw Horns. At 6:45 p.m., the Beat Your Feet/Kings (dancers) will take the stage. The featured event starts at 7 p.m.

Entries for Student Design Competition Can Win Scholarships

To date, more than $90,000 has been awarded to students through the competition. Scholarships totaling $8,500 will be presented as cash awards to the top designs, including $3,000 for First Place, $2,000 for Second Place, $1,000 for Third Place and $2,500 for the Sapa Sustainable Design Scholarship Award.

Local Man Caught After Trying to Evade Police

The accused tailgated another vehicle in his 2000 Ford Explorer. He allegedly rear-ended a 2003 Honda, pulled alongside the car, turned into the vehicle, side-swiping it. He then fled at a high rate of speed.
