Student Voting, Find Your Polling Station & New Voter ID Law
On Election Day 2014, polls will be open from 6 a.m., until 7 p.m.
If you’re not certain where to vote, because it all depends on what address you used on your voter registration, find your polling station by inserting your address at this link: Find Your Poll.
Important Info for Students
If you are a Virginia resident who attends school in-state, but in a different precinct, you can vote in the precinct where you live while attending school only if you change your registration. You can change your registration here: Vote Virginia. Of course, you’ll need to do that before Election Day.
If you’re a student from Virginia who attends school in another state, you should determine whether you’re a Virginia resident or a resident of the state where you attend school. Ask yourself: What address is on your driver’s license? Are you paying in-state tuition outside of Virginia? Ask your parents if you aren’t sure because you may only cast your vote in one state.
