Northern Virginia Community College student Babette Wise was awarded a scholarship from the Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association Education Foundation in the amount of $2,000 at Buffalo Wing University in Fairfax.

Wise had been selected for the VHTA Scholarship by Professor Janet Sass and her education team based on Babette’s exemplary grade point average and work ethic in the program.

Two George Mason University students were also be awarded scholarships at the event.

The money for the scholarships was raised by the VHTA NoVa Hotel Council in cooperation with suppliers, hotels and restaurants across Virginia.
