Its opening games were on Sept. 25 and 26. The team plays in the Atlantic Division of the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference, which is composed of four-year colleges, and is scheduled to play 17 games into February. This is its second year in the conference, and it is thus eligible for its season-ending tournament. Results to date are as follows:

The men’s basketball team under veteran coach Mike Fitzmaurice and assistant Sean Fitzmaurice began tryouts on Sept. 14 and will begin its season on Nov. 4. It plays in the men’s Virginia Community College System league and is scheduled to play 31 games, plus the season-ending VCCS tournament in Roanoke.

The women’s basketball team under first-year head coach Wayne Vincent, moving up from being the assistant last year, began its tryouts on Sept. 14 and will begin its season on Nov. 2. It plays in the women’s VCCS league and is scheduled to play 30 games, plus the season-ending VCCS tournament.
