ELOU (TAZ) TABALLA

Candidate for president

Everyone possesses a color of individuality and a seed for creativity that is unique in itself and independent from any similarities. Everyone does, no exceptions. During my travels overseas as a youngster and throughout my service as a Marine non-commissioned officer, whenever a creative idea or a solution was needed, knowing the above, I was never without resources. All I had to do was to sincerely listen. I am running for SGA President. Lend me your ideas, and I promise never to take my role for granted and never to back down until your needs are met.

UMAR NAJEEB MOHAMMED

Candidate for vice president

My name is Umar Najeeb Mohammed. I am a business administration major in my third semester at NOVA and a member of the National Association of Collegiate Scholars. I am vying for Vice President of Student Government Association for 2011-12 academic year. Each and every one of you is a leader and I, as Vice President, if elected, will give every student the opportunity to lead and represent his or her ideas to the administration. As a supervisor of the senate, holding the senate and myself accountable to students will be my prime aim. Vote for me. Thank you.

RENICE LINTON

Candidate for vice president

My name is Renice Linton, and I’m currently pursuing an associate’s degree in Information Technology. I’m from a Caribbean island called Trinidad and Tobago. Being from the Caribbean, I am naturally a very strong-willed person. This plus the fact that I have a passion for the enrichment of my life and the people who surround me is the reason I have decided to run for the office of Vice President. NOVA, like my country, is very diverse, and I see this as our biggest asset. I believe that you and I deserve a college where our voices are heard and our needs are met. Help me achieve that.

AHMED TRABELSKI

Candidate for president

My name is Ahmed Trabelsi, and I am running for Student Government for the upcoming semesters. I am the type of person who is open to new ideas and will listen to any suggestions. I believe that I am the perfect candidate because I have had tons of previous leadership positions, and they all turned out excellently. I want to run for Student Government President because I want to make a difference to the students and improve the lifestyle for the students here. So remember to vote for Ahmed Trabelski for SGA President.

ANTHONY DE GREGORIO

Candidate for president

My political career doesn’t begin with a passionate story or a highly respected influence pushing me to run for office. This story begins with a late financial aid check, insufficient funds to buy a parking permit and a ticket. After that, I realized that even after books and tuition, you need transportation money to be a successful student. Why do we have FAFSA bookstore agreements but no aid for other fees? I have plenty of ideas to improve our campus. I believe you should make a plan to reach one ultimate goal, and my plan begins as your presidential candidate. I hope to take it from there.

HUSSEIN ALQAISI

Candidate for vice president

My name is Hussein Alqaisi, and I am running for Vice President of the Student Government Association. I am a unique person with so many good qualities and leadership skills. I have so many plans and ideas for events and activities for the upcoming semesters. I want to become the Vice President of student body because I want to enhance the lifestyle and be the voice of the students at our campus in Alexandria. So when voting time comes around, remember to vote for Hussein Alqaisi for Vice President.

MARK NABOR

Candidate for president

My name is Mark Nabor, and I am running for the position of SGA President. I am excited about the SGA Presidency because I am interested in our college, and I care about the student body. This is the place where we spend most of our time. And because of that, I truly believe that it is important to build a strong mutual relationship between the administration and the student body. By building a coalition, we can achieve prompt, vast and satisfactory results regarding current and future students’ concerns and needs. I want all students to feel that their needs, concerns and wishes are heard and taken into consideration. “Destination” is the key word of my campaign. I am ready to take responsibility and lead our community to the desired destination of opportunity, comfort and success.
