Attorney General to Screen Documentary At Germanna Community College in Fredericksburg
Virginia’s Attorney General Mark Herring will hold a screening of “Heroin: The Hardest Hit,” what is billed as a powerful documentary designed to raise awareness of the dangers of heroin and prescription drugs, as well as the epidemic of fatal overdoses.
The movie features Virginians sharing their own personal stories of addiction, overdose and recovery. Additional insight from medical professionals and law enforcement officers who have had to address the problem in their lines of work is included in the film.
The screening will be one part of the Germanna Community College’s Summit on Heroin & Opiate Threat featuring a panel discussion between law enforcement officers from the Fredericksburg area and Germanna Community College Campus Police alongside health professionals, all of whom are on the front lines of this epidemic, according to a press release.
It will be shown Thursday, April 28 at 6 p.m., at Germanna Community College’s Sealy Auditorium in room 134. The address is 10000 Germanna Point Drive, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
