Bernie Sanders to Hold Town Hall Meeting at GMU
U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, the presidential candidate from Vermont, will hold a town hall meeting next week with students at George Mason University that will be live streamed at colleges and universities across the United States. Sanders will focus on issues like the cost of college education, climate change, criminal justice reform, and income and wealth inequality.
This visit might be similar to his Oct. 19 meeting with students at William Penn University where he laid out a plan to address college costs and bring down student loan interest rates.
Here is Sanders’ College Affordability Plan.
The event will take place at 7 p.m., on Oct. 28 at the Recreation & Athletic Complex. Tickets are required. Ticket information will be posted when it is available.
Sanders is vying for the Democratic nomination for president, although he holds his position of senator as an independent.
