Police Arrest Suspect in Two Attempted Abductions
The Alexandria Police Department is investigating two incidents that occurred on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015.
At approximately 9:04 p.m., in the 900 block of N. Patrick Street, a man followed a women into her apartment building and through the building as she rode the elevator. When she unlocked the door to her apartment, he attempted to push her inside. The victim screamed and the suspect fled.
At approximately 9:54 p.m., in the 700 block of N. Fayette Street, a man approached a woman as she opened her front door and attempted to push her inside her apartment. The victim yelled and the suspect fled.
Officers apprehended the suspect nearby. Marquette Johnson, 34, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of Attempted Abduction and two counts of Attempted Burglary. He was held without bond.
