From Organizing for Action:

We just completed our record-setting spring program, and we’re jumping right into the next one — all about training the next generation of progressive organizers. It will run during July and August. Here are some words people use to describe it: challenging, powerful, inspiring, and — my favorite — so much fun.

Summer fellows will have the chance to develop all the skills needed to be top-notch organizers — learning to run phone banks, conduct press conferences, and rally support around the issues important to their communities.

It doesn’t matter what your experience level is — I’ve seen this program be a career-rocketing first step into the world of progressive organizing. And it can be a huge boost for people who’ve been active in the progressive movement for decades.

In fact, fellows from earlier classes have already found jobs organizing around climate change, health care, and immigration reform — some even took their progressive values and skills to the private sector, touching industries from public affairs to clean energy.

But the programs also highly competitive, and the deadline to apply is Sunday, June 15.

Here’s what we’re looking for: folks who are passionate about moving this country forward around progressive causes.

If that sounds like someone you know, apply today: Summer Fellowship Program
