Volleyball Places Four on All-Region 20 Team

Northern Virginia Community College head coach Marcus Robinson announced that four members of the 2013 women’s volleyball team were named to the All-NJCAA Region 20 D-II Team.
Freshman setter Olivia Franjie was named to the first-team. Franjie leads the team with 8.3 assists per game and also has a team high 76 service aces.
Sophomore outside hitter Arianna Gore and freshman libero Rachel Suttee were each named to the second-team. Gore leads NOVA with 343 kills (2.66 kills per set) and is second in digs with 535 and service aces with 74. Suttee currently leads the nation in digs (1012).
Freshman right-side hitter Katarina Pavic was named an Honorable Mention. Pavic is tops on the NOVA roster in hitting percentage (.289) and third on the team with 248 kills.
NOVA wrapped up the 2013 season with a program best 30-10 record and advanced to the championship game of NJCAA Region 20 D-II Tournament held at Hagerstown Community College.
