Computers Stolen From Unattended Classrooms
Eight computers were stolen from multiple unattended classrooms at Annandale campus early in the fall semester. This prompted Northern Virginia Community College police to remind faculty not to leave classrooms unattended.
The stolen computers all belonged to the college; none were portable computers owned by students or faculty. Six of the computers have been recovered, and a male NOVA student was arrested on Sept. 16.
When asked if police had checked re-sale establishments, like pawn shops or ebay, for the two computers still missing, Public Information Officer Jennifer Gonzalez said that NOVA police have exhausted all leads and hope that anyone with information will contact them at 703-764-5000.
