Students at Annandale campus were on guard Friday after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in a stairwell of one of the buildings.

According to NOVA Police, a woman was assaulted in the third floor east stairwell of the CM Building. Fortunately for the victim, the attack was quickly stopped by nearby witnesses. However, the attacker fled the scene and, as of press time, has not been apprehended.

Police report the suspect as being a black male, 6-feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds and in his early 20s.
