Here’s some basic info about NOVA’s graduation:

What
• Northern Virginia Community College will hold its 47th Commencement on Sunday, May 19, 2013.
• Keynote speaker: Dr. Ángel Cabrera, President, George Mason University.
• Honorary degree recipient: Bobbie Kilberg, President and CEO, Northern Virginia Technology Council.
• More than 7,200 degrees and certificates are expected to be awarded.
• Tickets are not required.

Where
• The Patriot Center at George Mason University.

When
• 1 p.m.: Graduates line up for the procession in Parking Lot A on the south side of the Patriot Center. In case of rain, graduates will meet in the Patriot Center’s lower level entrance.
• 2 p.m.: The ceremony begins.
• Students with the following cumulative grade point averages will graduate with honors:
GPA 3.20 – 3.49: Cum Laude (With Honor)
GPA 3.50 – 3.79: Magna Cum Laude (With High Honor)
GPA 3.80 – 4.00: Summa Cum Laude (With Highest Honor)
