Poetry Month Events to be Held at Manassas Campus

The Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College is hosting two events in honor of Poetry Month. The events are free and open to the community with open parking in the student parking lots (Lot B).

Both events will take place in Colgan Theater. The campus is located at 6901 Sudley Road in Manassas.

April 24 at 2 p.m.: Poet Laura Scott will discuss “The Creative Process and Publishing.” Scott teaches fiction writing at George Mason University and is the author of “Death Wishing.”

April 29 at 6 p.m.: Poetry Slam and Read-In. Attendees may sign up to read original or published poetry. Register at NOVAManassaspoetryslam.eventbrite.com.
