In mid-April, the Virginia Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration’s Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division will begin work to modify the North Beauregard Street-Seminary Road intersection to improve traffic flow.

A new right-turn lane is being added at the traffic signal to improve eastbound traffic and the dedicated right-turn lane in front of the Hilton is being reconstructed to improve traffic flow. To minimize traffic impacts construction will take place during non-peak hours. Be advised that a lane may be closed for work access.

Work is slated be completed by the end of April. The Department of Defense and the City of Alexandria assisted VDOT and FHWA in the planning and design of these improvements.
