Some Interstate 95 Ramps to Close
On Oct. 1, motorists heading southbound to Lorton from the I-95 High Occupancy Vehicle lanes will have to use a new route. This access point is closing as part of the 95 Express Lanes Project.
In the Springfield area, motorists will transition from the southbound I-95 HOV lanes to the general purpose lanes using the left exit ramp marked: Route 286 Fairfax County Parkway/Newington/Ft. Motorists heading to I-95 south via Alban Road, Boudinot Drive or Backlick Road will have to use a new route come mid-October. This access point is closing as part of the 95 Express Lanes Project where a new reversible flyover ramp will be built.
