On Sunday, Aug. 19, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., a 5-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the 4900 block of Manitoba Drive.

The girl was playing at a playground in the area of Lachine Lane and Manitoba Drive when a man took her into the basement of a nearby building and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, medium height, average-to-heavy build, black hair and wearing a white, long-sleeve button down shirt and dark pants.

Also on Aug. 19, around 11 p.m., a 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the 7600 block of Lee Highway.

The woman was walking along Lee Highway when a man approached and displayed a knife. He forced her into some nearby brush and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect in that case was described as Hispanic, 30s, short height, short black hair and wearing a black T-shirt and jeans.
