SGA Hosts Halloween
By: Alexandria SGA Executive Board
-Midterms killed you. Come alive for one night!
Here at the Alexandria campus things are getting spooky. The Student Government Association is hosting a Halloween Week. Events include a blood drive on Oct. 24, movie night on Oct. 25 in room 158 and a Halloween party on Oct. 26 in the cafeteria.
The 1999 American horror film “The Blair Witch Project” will be showing on movie night.
There will be great prizes to be won during the party for best costume. First place will receive Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. Second place gets a Nintendo 3DS handheld game. And third place wins a Canon Powershot digital camera.
So come on out and join the SGA for Halloween Week, donate blood, watch a freaky film and come dressed to impress or fright.
-Town Hall Meetings
SGA is aiming to integrate town hall meetings on a regular basis at Alexandria campus, where students are free to express their thoughts and concerns on campus issues and student life at NOVA. The first town hall meeting took place on Oct. 19.
We at the SGA feel the best opportunity is to host an open discussion to hear the issues and experiences here at NOVA as a student. Topics such as parking, financial aid, tuition and facilities will be spoken of.
The next town hall meeting will take place on Nov. 16. Everybody is welcome to participate in the open discussion.
