Interested in playing for the NOVA Women’s Cross Country Team for the fall 2013 season? Come to an interest meeting.

The Virginia General Assembly enacted a law in 2007 to establish a boating safety education compliance requirement that will depend on your age and boat type. The new law applies to all public waters of Virginia.

NOVA is seeking a head women’s basketball coach for the 2013-14 academic year.

Boaters can help themselves this holiday season by making a tax-deductible gift to the BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit education and outreach organization.

NOVA will host Bloomsburg (Penn.) University for two games at the Prince William Ice Center this weekend.

The NOVA Police department held their annual basketball tournament at the Annandale campus this February in which three teams competed. NOVA Police, NOVA faculty, and NOVA students. According to Officer Tony Ong, “the students beat the faculty 21-18. Both the faculty and Police came in second while the students won it again!”

The men’s lacrosse team is having a tough season so far under first year coach Anthony LePore, winning only one of eight contests.

The college-wide student activities department welcomed Jeff Dukat in January as its Intramural and Recreation Specialist. He will work to improve intramural and recreational opportunities for Northern Virginia Community College students.

Whereas the Northern Virginia Community College women’s team rolled to lopsided wins in the Virginia Community College System tournament, the men’s team was engaged in two frenetic contests.
