Did you know that you pay not just for your subjects but also for a student activities fee?

We are the Alexandria Student Government Association, and our budget comes from your payment to Northern Virginia Community College. We use this money to create a fun, dynamic, interactive campus life that we believe every student has the right to experience.

The SGA is not only composed of acting officials but the whole student body. It is essential for us to know what each of you want to see done on campus.

So far two events have been carried out by the Alexandria SGA in September: Act of Kindness and NOVA Day. This year we are planning to have many events carried out which include field trips, performances, parties, charity events and useful seminars for students. All we need is to know what you are interested in.

We are currently organizing Halloween parties both on and off campus.

In order to make these changes happen on campus, we as students need to be strong and united. We can achieve it only if everybody takes part in the student activities and opportunities available. The opinions and ideas of every student are absolutely necessary to move forward and make a difference. Participating in student surveys, following the SGA on Facebook and Twitter and attending our events will allow you to know what’s happening and make your voices heard.
