Join in for NOVA’s third annual NOVA Serves: MLK Day National Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 16. Over the past two years, NOVA Serves has offered 14 service projects and engaged over 750 students, faculty and staff in service.

Christine Holt has been named interim provost at the Manassas campus of Northern Virginia Community College, taking over from Hortense Hinton who was appointed special assistant to NOVA’s president.

NOVA has recently announced that it has joined the National Junior College Athletic Association, effective for the 2011-12 academic year.

NOVA Fortnightly, is currently looking to hire writers, copy editors, photographers, layout/page designers, cartoonists, newspaper distributors, ad reps and a webmaster. These are PAID positions.

A free performance will be held at Manassas campus as part of the Summer Evenings Under the Stars summer program there. This performance will be on June 25 at 7:30 p.m., at the Mary Louise Jackson Amphitheater.
