UPDATED: Colleges, Military Bases Continue to be Closed Due to Blizzard 2016

Due to inclement weather otherwise known as #Blizzard2016, the following colleges are closed:

Northern Virginia Community College is closed both Monday, Jan. 25, and Tuesday, Jan 26.

George Mason University is closed Monday, Jan. 25.
UPDATE: GMU will also be closed Tuesday, Jan. 26. The event with basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is likely canceled or postponed, but that information has not been confirmed since it’s been difficult to get in contact with anyone because the college has been closed due to snow and icy conditions.

Germanna Community College is closed Monday, Jan. 25.
UPDATE: Germanna will open at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

University of Mary Washington is closed Monday, Jan. 25.
UPDATE: UMW will also be closed Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Marymount University is closed Monday, Jan. 25.
UPDATE: MU will also be closed Tuesday, Jan. 26.

J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College is closed Monday, Jan. 25.

Rappahannock Community College is closed Monday, Jan. 25.

New River Community College is closed Monday, Jan. 25.

Piedmont Virginia Community College is closed Monday, Jan. 25.

Patrick Henry Community College is closed until further notice.

Marine Corps Base Quantico will operate on Code Red Jan. 25. The Commissary, MCX and CDC will be closed Jan. 25. MCCS is working on opening the Barber Physical Activities Center, the Marine Mart and the Package Store/Gas Station, but they will not be open for normal hours, if they are open at all.
UPDATE: Marine Corps Base Quantico will operate on Code Blue Jan. 26.

No word yet on whether the following will be closed on Monday:

Fort Belvoir Army Base
UPDATE: Ft. Belvoir facilities are closed Monday, Jan. 25.

James Madison University

Lord Fairfax CC
UPDATE: All locations of Lord Fairfax will also be closed Tuesday, Jan. 26.
