The Ghost, Goblins & Ghouls Spooktacular 5k Taking Place in Loudoun

With Halloween in the air, the third running of the Ghost, Goblins & Ghouls Spooktacular 5k and Scarecrow Sprint Fun Run will take place at One Loudoun in Ashburn on Saturday, Oct. 25, with a 4 p.m. start time. The event will center on the spooktacular theme of Halloween and incorporate a costume contest, a haunted 3.1 mile course pre-HYPE party starting at 2, fun for the kids and more.

Runners are encouraged to run in costume and enter the costume contest before the race or just come as a runner. All pre-registered runners will receive a technical long sleeve race t-shirt, gloves and a Halloween goodie bag. Kids can get signed up for the Scarecrow Sprint Fun Run. Event day Activities include: Pre-HYPE party from 2 PM – 3:55 PM, Race day registration and Packet pick up: 2 PM – 3:45 at the Barn at One Loudoun in Ashburn. 5k Race starts at 4 PM, Costume Contest at 5 PM, Awards at 5:30 PM Scarecrow Sprint Fun Run starts at 5:45 PM.

The Spooktacular 5k out and back course through the surrounding neighborhoods of One Loudoun will be open for one hour after the start of the race. Digital timing will be used to capture finishing time.

Awards to overall Male and Female and first and second male and female in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11 – 12, 13 – 14, 15 – 18, 19 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 +

This event will shine a spotlight on healthy activities, with a focus on raising funds for Kids Run the Nation a non-profit concentrating on children and the importance of healthy living, good eating habits, and exercise.
