The NOVA women’s volleyball team lost its match to the match-experienced Community College of Baltimore County-Catonsville team by a game score of 3-1 on the night of Oct. 8, at the Ernst Center on NOVA’s Annandale campus. The enthusiastic crowd was treated to some exciting plays, occasional long rallies and some searing smashes at the net.

For the actors and crew of the Nova Woodbridge Theatre Group, Arthur Miller’s 1947 classic, All My Sons, is a work in progress. They had only reached their third rehearsal as of September 17, so the actors, with scripts still in hand, performed in a phase between reading and acting, moving through an approximation of what will, in mid-November, be the final set.
Professor Eric Trumbull, who teaches acting and theatre workshops at Nova Woodbridge, gave them time to get used to the words and the play, all the while …

The polls were open first thing the morning of Nov. 3 at 6 a.m. The race for Virginia’s governor was between Robert “Bob” McDonnell of the Republican Party and R. Creigh Deeds of the Democratic Party. According to a recent survey by Public Policy Polling, McDonnell was favored to win with Deeds trailing by 12 points. However, the Republican Party still urged people to go out and vote, disregarding what had been reported.
